The Future of Innovation is Art & Technology Collaboration

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Artists and engineers may not seem like they would have much in common, but some surprising magic occurs when you bring these left and right brain thinkers together. Collaborations between artists and engineers date back to the 1960s and beyond, and are seeing an exciting new revival today as tech-savvy artists expand our capacity to imagine what technology is capable of and where it’s headed. Hear from two artists who are participating in Nokia Bell Labs artist residency program and have collaborated with other research labs like MIT Media Labs, Google, Autodesk and more. The panel will discuss how these residencies and collaborations are structured, how they impact both artistic output and technological research, and why that’s good for culture and innovation.
