The New School and Northside Festival are proud to present a special matinee program at Nitehawk Cinema of Charlie Chaplin’s 1917 silent romantic comedy short The Immigrant, with an original live score by Alexis Cuadrado, professor at The New School’s College of Performing Arts. An ensemble from The New School's College of Performing Arts will perform a live accompaniment to Chaplin's masterpiece, integrating diverse genres such as ragtime, modern jazz, and new music to evoke Chaplin’s poetic comment on the immigrant experience.

Please note that doors will open at 1:45pm and the film will begin promptly at 2pm. Guests are invited to attend a reception following the film at Nitehawk’s Lo-Res Bar.
