As a self-taught artist, spanning a variety of platforms–from filmmaking to sculpture and illustration, to computer coding, Russell Wyner spent a decade as a freelancer for such clients as Nickelodeon, Discovery Channel, A&E, and UNICEF. Nearly two years ago he was forwarded a Facebook post from a friend, looking for a "graphics goon". It turned out Russell was set to collaborate with the creators of Vine on a new live video app. After freelancing for this live video prototype regularly for a year, the app evolved into HQ Trivia, and Russell signed on to be the full-time animation director. He also returned the favor to his friend and roommate, Scott Rogowsky, and helped him secure the now infamous gig as the live host.
