Sheetal Prajapati is Brooklyn-based artist and educator. She is currently the Director of Public Engagement at Pioneer Works in Red Hook, Brooklyn. There she oversees programming and learning experiences across multiple disciplines for a range of audiences including youth, school groups, the local Red Hook community, and adults. Previously, she held programming positions at The Museum of Modern Art (New York), Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, and the Block Museum of Art at Northwestern University (IL). From 2014-2016 she co-organized Open Engagement, an international conference on art and social practice. In collaboration with Anna Harsanyi, she developed and co-curate a series of Game Night events in New York from 2016-2017, featuring artist-made games for play.  Sheetal has spoken across the country and internationally on a range of topics in including art, play, education, pedagogy, social practice, and contemporary culture. As an educator she has taught in MFA programs at Moore College of Design (PA) and Montclair State University (NJ).  Sheetal received her BA from Northwestern University and her MA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
